Vina Gala Rioja

Brilliant value Rioja from Co-op’s Irresistible range (terrible name, I know. But go with it). The wine is made for the Co-op by a great family-owned producer, Muriel. And it’s just what you want from a Rioja with a bit of age (the name Crianza on the front means the wine has been aged in oak, in this case for at least two years). Think bramble fruit aromas with a bit of spice, all mellow and more-ish. Brilliant value, this one. Try it with slow roast lamb.

  1. Amazingly good rioja at 7.50 a bottle. Easy drinking I will be going back to my local coop for some more

  2. Bought this in our local CoOp next to our favourite BYO Indian. Liked it so much went back for more. Great value for the depth of flavour. The oak really comes through.
