A bit like Prosecco but drier, this Italian sparkler is from the neighbouring region, Emilia Romagna. And it’s made from different grapes – Pignoletto aka Grechetto Gentile – so has a little more bite to it compared with Prosecco. Light and fresh with lovely pear fruit flavours, it’s a proper crowd pleaser (and at this price, looks more expensive than it is – always good).
