I was asked the other day for a recommendation for an inexpensive Sauvignon Blanc that wasn’t from New Zealand (she loved NZ SB, just fancied a change). I suggested trying ones from Bordeaux, Loire and Chile for starters. And now I’m adding this one from South Africa to the list, made by a couple of winemakers who snaffled some lovely fruit to make it. Fresh, bright and full of grapefruit flavours, it’s a gorgeous take on the grape for the price. One to sip when cobbling supper together.
