We talked about this wine last year. It was the one my sister and I took to Camp Bestival and probably the reason we slightly overshot the runway on the first night. Anyway, it’s back, with a new vintage. And I love it. Pale but not too delicate, with gorgeous redcurrant fruit flavours and a whiff of peach. And just 11.5%! I love the packaging; functional, but delivers the goods. And remember, anything in a box or pouch (that word again) will keep fresher for longer – weeks rather than days – as there’s no air in there to spoil the wine. Available in the St John shop, but they’ll also deliver. Pig out.
