As a partner to the white, Australian winemaker Andrew Nielsen has sourced this juicy, raspberry and black cherry flavoured red and put it in a wine bag. Or a bagnum, as he calls them (it holds 1.5l, the same as two normal bottles of wine). Made from the Gamay grape, it’s from vineyards in the oft-underrated Beaujolais Villages region. The packaging reduces the wine’s carbon footprint by 80% compared with glass. And the wine will keep fresher for longer. It’s not cheap, but alongside most wine in non-glass packaging, it’s bloody brilliant. Check their website for more stockists.
