Abbots & Delaunay Merlot

Gorgeous Merlot made from parcels of grapes grown across four different vineyard areas in the Languedoc, this has got everything you want in a good Southern French red. Masses of blackcurrant fruit? Check. Plenty of spice, a herbal edge and lovely smooth tannins (the chewy sensation)? Check, check, check. Soft enough to sip without food but a small plate of Manchego to munch on made it all the more delicious.
