Castel Firmian Pinot Grigio

Well, this is lovely. Not just the wine (fresh, floral and a joy to drink) but the story behind it. The distributor, Berkmann, normally supplies the restaurant trade with wines. But with the on-trade temporarily shut down they’re offering wines for sale from their website with 12.5% going to Help4Hospitality, a fund supporting the hospitality trade through the crisis. So far they’ve raised over £26,000. This wine was kindly sent to me, picked by their brilliant buyer Alex Hunt. Tuck in.
