Malbec might have become Argentina’s calling card but the grape’s roots are firmly in France. Specifically this region – Cahors – in South West France where it produces wines with masses of black fruit flavours and a little (lovely) earthiness. This is a wine to drink with food, the heartier the better. Cue great excuse to have sausages & mash. You’re welcome.
