A really good South African red, based on a classic Rhone recipe where the Shiraz grape (or Syrah as it’s known in France) is blended with another red grape, Grenache. Made in the Swartland region, it’s loaded with pleasingly plushy bramble fruits and spice thanks to a bit of oak. Good with lasagne, happily.
