The last time we went camping as a family we had a seven month old baby and a three year old in tow. Oh, and a puppy. And I was pregnant. And it was blowing a gale. And of course we were on a slope. But we went again last weekend and this time it was different. For a start, we had glorious weather. The box of rose was cold and the duvet was warm. Happy camping, indeed.

I take more bedding than I take clothes. My camping bed must look like something out of princess and the pea otherwise I’m a very grumpy camper! Elinor X
It really is the secret, isn’t it? Took me a while to work that one out. Oh, and v. imp the wine is cold. I put the box in the freezer before we left. Stayed cold for days in the cooler! x
